So, who wants gorgeous, glowing skin?
Dumb question, I know.
Because I am very sure the answer is EVERYONE!
But, with so many products promising out-of-this-world results, and tons of advice on skin care routines out there, how the f**k are you supposed to figure out what works best?
Well, I have good news…
You can forget the products. Don’t get me wrong, they can be useful.
The NUMBER ONE thing to focus on when taking care of your skin is not what you put on it , it what you put under it.
Your skin is the last place to get nutrients as your body needs to make sure that it is doing all the jobs its need to, to keep you alive rather than ensure you look pretty.
So, eating junk shows up on your skin real fast.
Essentially, your skin is a direct reflection of what is going on inside.
If you put good stuff in your body;
It will show.
If you put crap in your body;
It will show.
And all the cleansers, serums, creams, oils, masks, peels, scrubs and toners in the world aren’t going to help if you aren’t taking care of yourself on the inside.
You can’t treat internal problems with external means.
PHEW, because ain’t no one got time to cleanse, tone, moisturise, serum etc. twice a day anyways!
I mean, I love a good skincare product to enhance what is there and give your skin that lil extra pop, BUT I don’t wanna spend my life rubbing crap into it #betterthingstodo
Which is one of the absolute BEST thing about taking care of your skin from the inside.
Not only will you have naturally gorgeous glowing skin BUT you will need the products less, hence saving time and money. Double win.
So what foods are best to show your skin some love??
Not only are fats are delicious and soooo good for, they keep your skin looking hydrated, plump and soft. Top picks for skin– avocado, oily fish e.g. salmon/mackerel and nuts.
These curbs the skin damage caused by free radicals and encourages cell growth and repair hence fighting the signs of aging. Tops picks – all fruits and veg are awesome.
You have probably heard this before, BUT it is always worth saying –
Dehydrated skin looks dry and gray, urgh. Drink plenty of water to keep your skin looking fresh and glowing.
